– Humanitarian Aid
Our interns have a burning desire to support displaced persons. You can become an intern if you are involved in a Bachelor or Post Graduate Program, and if your university recognizes one of our main four program pillars relevant for your internship. Depending on the needs of the different locations, we request various internship involvement.
HUMANITARIAN AID INTERN – LESVOS
Work Tasks:
- Administrative Support
- Fieldwork
- Distributions of Humanitarian Aid/ Sourcing / Procurement of donations
- Monitoring and Evaluation
*Details on your tasks will be provided during the first interview if you meet the below requirements.
Competences & Qualifications:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a clean criminal record
- Commit for a minimum of two (2) months
- University degree in Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Project Management or in a relevant field. Previous experience in WASH sector is preferred.
- Driver’s License (manual transmission)
- Highly proficient in the use of technology (computer literacy, Excel spreadsheets including equations, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, MS Office, Google Docs, Email, smartphone)
- Data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eye to detail and flexibility.
- Team player; comfortable working with others but also independently when required with minimal guidance.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the refugee/humanitarian context in Greece. Willingness to learn about new developments.
- Fluency in English; Working knowledge of Greek and other context-relevant languages (i.e. French/Farsi/Arabic/Pashto/Dari) is considered an advantage.
